Optima’s Financial and Operating Results in 2026
Optima Hotels & Resorts has reviewed its financial and operating performance for January–September 2026. This report presents the network’s expansion and recovery results for 2026, alongside an overview of its social initiatives during the full-scale war. It covers tax payments, employment, hotel operations and support for military personnel and civilians.
Taxes and Employment
“From January to September 2026, our management company paid UAH 127,381,915.94 in taxes to national and local budgets,” says Yuliia Haziieva, Deputy Chief Operating Officer at Optima Hotels & Resorts. These payments were made by Optima Hotel Management LLC.
As of September 2026, the network employed 1,064 people across its hotels, restaurant operations and head office.
To keep our hotels running, we purchase food, textiles and consumables, as well as maintenance and transport services, generating business for suppliers and contractors.
Charitable Contributions and Support for Military Personnel
Between January and September 2026, we allocated UAH 8,686,354.05 to charitable causes and military needs. Of this amount, UAH 8,500,000.00 went to charitable foundations, while UAH 186,354.05 covered direct payments for military needs.
In addition to financial contributions, hotels across the network donated 3,755 items of bed linen, towels and blankets to military hospitals, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and volunteers. Support was provided through organisations including VOLIS, the Podilska Varta Plus Charitable Foundation, Dvi Fortetsi, the Soniashnyk Charitable Foundation, and Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centres.
Optima Vinnytsia made the network’s largest contribution of this kind, donating 1,344 textile items through the Podilska Varta Plus Charitable Foundation. Optima Kremenchuk donated 519 items of bed linen, the team in Kamianets-Podilskyi provided 383 textile items to Dvi Fortetsi for camouflage nets, and the Dnipro team donated 361 items of bed linen.
The Cherkasy team donated 266 items of bed linen to the regional Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centre for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Mykolaiv team provided 264 items to the Soniashnyk Charitable Foundation, while the Zhytomyr team donated 165 items to support military personnel and volunteers. The Sumy team supplied bed linen to VOLIS and Sumy School No. 12.
We also donated fabric for making camouflage nets to Sumy School No. 12 and Dvi Fortetsi.
Social Programmes and Complimentary Services
In August 2026, we helped provide free accommodation for Lviv residents whose homes had been destroyed or damaged in a Russian attack. They were welcomed at Optima Collection Medieval and Optima Dworzec.
Military personnel are eligible for an ongoing 10% accommodation discount upon presentation of a document confirming their status. The terms are available on our website and the social media pages of key hotels in the network.
Through the “Recovering Together” programme, military families receive a complimentary seven-day stay at VitaPark Provans and VitaPark Karpaty. Other initiatives include free rehabilitation for wounded service members, including a 14-day programme in Dnipro for former network employees, and complimentary accommodation for service members from the Azov Brigade and their families.
We also organise free training sessions for children from internally displaced families.
Hotel Accessibility
To support guests with reduced mobility and wounded veterans, we are adding accessible rooms, ramps and lifts across the network, as well as Braille signage. The facilities available vary by hotel. Gallery Poltava has an Accessible Room with a terrace and a lift; upgrades to the property also include solar panels. All hotels in the network are now equipped with generators and have designated spaces where guests can stay during air raid alerts.
Hotel Openings in Zhytomyr and Chernivtsi
Optima’s partners have made significant investments in opening hotels in Zhytomyr and Chernivtsi.
In June 2026, we opened Zhytomyr by Optima, offering 105 rooms, including 10 adapted for guests with reduced mobility. The hotel has designated spaces for use during air raid alerts and large conference halls that can be reconfigured for different event formats. In our team’s assessment, these conference facilities are unmatched in Zhytomyr.
The hotel is equipped with a generator and solar panels, making it fully energy-independent.
In September 2026, we opened Optima Collection Renaissance in Chernivtsi. The first phase brought 26 rooms into operation. For business events, Renaissance Hall accommodates up to 60 people.
The Chernivtsi hotel is equipped with a generator to maintain essential services.
We work with hotel owners through operational management, franchise and consulting arrangements.
Our network spans major cities and resort destinations, including Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Rivne and Lutsk, as well as Zhdeniievo, Poliana, Truskavets and Sataniv.
Partial Restoration of Optima Sumy
On 28 February 2026, two drones struck Optima Sumy, causing a fire. Fourteen rooms were completely destroyed and another 16 sustained severe damage. All building utility systems were put out of operation.
Within five days, the team restored heating and water supplies and reopened the restaurant. Over the following two months, 57 rooms were repaired and brought back into service. They are now welcoming guests.
Further repairs are currently on hold. The roof and the rooms on the fourth and fifth floors have been secured to prevent further deterioration.
Around UAH 1.5 million has already been spent on urgent repairs and protective work. Rebuilding the roof and restoring the remaining 30 rooms is estimated to cost UAH 18 million.
Restoration of Optima River Mykolaiv
Optima River Mykolaiv was hit twice and had to rebuild its operations from scratch after each strike. Following the first strike, the team brought 50 rooms back into service; after the second, 40 rooms were restored. These figures represent two separate stages in the recovery of the same property.
Staff Training and Quality Control
In 2026, training reached 675 employees. We updated 13 training courses, which were completed by 412 people. Business simulation games provided another form of development, with 45 line managers taking part.
A total of 165 employees received internal promotions. Examples of career progression include Mariia Korniienko, who advanced from receptionist to manager of the four-star hotel in Zhytomyr, and Anna Kyryliuk, who began as a front desk clerk in Vinnytsia and went on to lead the hotel in Chernivtsi.
Together with the Terra Integrity NGO and the Vymir project, we held training sessions on respectful and appropriate communication with military personnel, veterans and people with disabilities.
Following internal reviews, we updated guest welcome procedures and introduced AI-supported quality monitoring for reception services.
We use the Collaborator learning management system for onboarding and professional development. Online courses are complemented by webinars and on-site mentoring at our hotels.
For corporate client management, we use the Ukrainian platform Uspacy, which allows managers to maintain customer records, communication histories, deals and tasks in one place.
Room Nights Sold, Business Events and Travel
Between January and September 2026, the network sold 323,775 room nights, compared with 306,172 in the same period of 2025. This represents an increase of 17,603 room nights, or 5.75%. Growth was driven by new hotel openings and improvements to network operations.
Optima MICE organises conferences and corporate events, providing venue selection, technical equipment, accommodation, catering and event support.
Optima Travel Ukraine offers tours and excursions for travellers exploring Ukraine.
Current Partnership Programmes
The network’s current partners and programmes include Mastercard Bilshe, YASNOLOV, Sense Bank, Silpo’s Vlasnyi Rakhunok loyalty programme, PUMB, Ukrzaliznytsia’s Zalizni Druzi programme, Fishka, Ukrnafta petrol stations, Nova Poshta’s Hands-Free service and IT Club.
The Hands-Free service, offered in partnership with Nova Poshta, allows guests to arrange luggage delivery by scanning a QR code at the reception of a participating hotel. They can leave their suitcase with a hotel employee and collect it at a Nova Poshta branch in their destination city.
In 2026, the network continues to combine day-to-day guest service with new hotel openings and the partial restoration of damaged rooms. Its economic and social contribution includes tax payments, employment, orders placed with suppliers and contractors, and support for military personnel and civilians.
